El Día de los Muertos decorations made colorful with Cricut

19 October 2021

El Día de los Muertos takes place as part of a 2-day celebration of life and death. Those who celebrate All Saints Day (el Día de los Inocentes) and el Día de los Muertos traditions from November 1-2 begin their festivities at midnight after Halloween.

Filled with color and joy, these celebrations show love and appreciation for family and loved ones who’ve passed on. Traditionally, decorations cover an ofrenda, or altar, for spirits to find offerings like food, drink, marigolds, and important personal items.

Cricut Design Space offers a number of inspirational designs to use for this celebratory holiday, including popular decorations like papel picado, or confetti banners, along with skeletons and skulls.
